As I write this, the crew of the Artemis II mission — Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen — aboard the Orion spacecraft Integrity, are executing their historic flyby of the Moon.
I'm very glad to see this mission--an example of the best of what humans can achieve--happening in contrast to all the horrors taking place down below. I'm also glad that it's being led by NASA instead of MuskX or Blue Balls Origin or some other private company.
