I'm done with subtlety

A few years back I made what was apparently a crass comment in conjunction with one of my anti-MAGA cartoons on Twitter. Or maybe it was Facebook. I don’t honestly remember. But after that comment several people reached out and said that, as a cartoonist, I should try to be wittier than the opposition. That I should take the high road. Be subtle.

At the time I agreed with that sentiment.

Not anymore. We’re beyond being witty and subtle. People are hurting. Jobs are being lost. Families are being broken up. Healthcare is on the line. We’ve lost our allies and have gotten in bed with Russia.
